SONIC YOUTH IN GOSSIP GIRL

This is real old news. But blah i only got to know it yesterday when my mother was watching Gossip Girl. I decided to google some shoegazey like song that was featured somewhere in the back of the first ep. And that was when holy fuck, I found out Sonic Youth guest star in Gossip Girl in the fifth ep. Blah…i really don’t know why i didn’t know. I suppose to be their biggest fan. Apparently not.=(

But back to the topic, supposedly the were performing at Rufus and Lily. And they did the acoustic version of “starpower” from their EVOL album. Ok apparently they released an 09 acoustic version of starpower. This version is awesome. It’s not so darkish-edgy as the orginal. But it feels more dreamy-edgy.

I could not find a rip off the song. Probably going to buy it off the kungfu Nation Music site. But i’m stuck with if i should just purchase the song or buy the starpower shirt and get the song for free. hm…will decide soon.

Ok i hate myself for not knowing news like that.

Anyway, i think Kim Gordon is cool in this video. I like how stoney and dreamy she is. Well she is always like that isn’t she.

I will so get married if Sonic Youth would ever play for me.
